Artist Edition: “Do Over”

By Shalom Mendoza

This piece didn’t start as a success. It started as resistance.

For weeks, Shalom Mendoza sat with a canvas that refused to come together. The lines didn’t speak. The composition felt forced. It was the kind of work most people abandon—the kind that quietly gets covered, discarded, or forgotten.

But instead of starting over, she chose to go through it.

Layer by layer, she repurposed what already existed. Not erasing it—but confronting it. Letting tension, doubt, and imperfection stay in the room long enough to transform. What once felt disconnected became intentional. What felt like failure became foundation.

That canvas became “Do Over.”

A reminder that not everything broken needs to be replaced.
Some things need to be re-seen. Reworked. Reclaimed.

Printed on the back of this Artist Edition crewneck, Do Over represents the quiet decision to begin again—without leaving yourself behind.

Because sometimes the most powerful reset
isn’t a new start. It’s a deeper one.

The Artist's Vision

Our work explores identity beneath performance, questioning what remains when everything presented for consumption is stripped away. We do not collaborate for simple visibility; we bring artists together only when their way of seeing and our way of making answer the exact same question. This philosophy is embedded in our design, inspired by the concept of the "second look"—the subtle depth revealed just after a first impression. Ultimately, we believe in the power of the unseen thread, crafting every piece as a testament to the personal journey and quiet resilience of the wearer.
